Lovely baselines mixed with strong electronic melodies that in some parts reminds of the 80ies. Obscenity Trial delivers high class electro pop with their debut album 'Here And Now', were you'll get danceable songs freshly mixed up with soft ballads and mid-tempo.
'Here And Now' is, as mentioned, the debut from Obscenity Trial, and their music reminds allot of the music from Melotron and Namnambulu. Maybe that isn't so hard to get, when the production of 'Here And Now' is made by Olaf Wollschläger (Melotron/In Strict Confidence among others). Obscenity Trial is the latest signing to the German label Infacted Recordings, which sure has a thing of found and get a hold on newcomers in this future pop scene.
Obscenity Trial was formed in 1993, but parted ways in 1998. Six years later, in 2004, Obscenity Trial was revived by Oliver, who created two demos and send them out to different labels, and later Infacted Recordings contacted O.T. and on this part it is.
'Here And Now' is a really great, and yet another debut album this year, that I like very much. This records gives you so many great tracks like the title track "Here And Now", "World", "Afraid" and "Seven Nation Army" - which is a cover on the hit from White Stripes. Except these 11 tracks, four bonus tracks is included, where you'll get three mixes of the track Here And Now.
